As this has been welcomed warmly, I was invited to expand my role, being involved in audit planning and working as a trio in daily operations decisions with the operations director and managing director. As a result I was offered another promotion to stay on once I had a role offered to me elsewhere, instead we agreed I would consult for the business when needed.

To ensure the smooth operation of this bustling body shop, I collaborate closely with insurance companies and customers to maintain a consistent flow of information throughout the car repair process. My responsibilities included securing incoming jobs and subsequently coordinating incoming repair bookings along, whilst being conscious of maximum capacity for vehicle on site. Furthermore, I play a key role in orchestrating efficient driver routes and schedules, aiming to maximize the efficiency of collecting and delivering cars while keeping the site operating at or near full capacity. This multifaceted approach helps ensure the body shop's seamless operation.

During my sandwich year, I completed a placement in the sales operations team at Renault UK. Main responsibilities included;- Creating and generating vital daily reports using Excel displaying key business KPIs formatted in a user friendly way, used by the entire company. These reports included overage stock, orders, registrations and more.- Reporting KPIs at month / year end for all departments to increase visibility and facilitate strategic decision making to meet targets.- Extract relevant figures from extensive datasets at request for colleagues, including the CEO.- Developing entirely new reports to address new and urgent issues to facilitate daily visibility for the team. Particularly to help prevent wastage and to identify dealers ringfencing stock during the EC crisis.- Working with all teams to amend current excel reports and macros to suit the businesses evolving needs.
