Mapping Coca-Cola’s suppliers and their multiple stakeholders to implement a full stakeholder assessment across Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. As external consultant I assisted the ANCP in the process of developing its quality and sustainability certification system in Animal Breeding. Known as Global G, the system consists of three levels, starting with quality up to social and environmental responsibility. ANCP has over 400 farms associated, of which more than 100 are at least level 1 Global G certified. Below further information on Global G levels:G1 - Information Quality: it is related to the quality of the data collected on the farm and staff training involved in the processes, essential for reliable genetic evaluation.G2 - Breeding: certifies farms that effectively utilize the tools of genetic improvement in the herd selection, contributing to the genetic evolution of the race.G3 - Genetics Sustainability: Global G3 Protocol was created in order to demonstrate the positive environmental effects of using enhancers animals and survey the areas of Legal Reserve and Riparian Forest farms associated ANCP. Through the G3 it is possible to quantify the reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG) by shortening the production cycle, when using enhancers animals in commercial beef cattle. Also establishes a commitment of the participating farms in maintenance and protection of their areas of reserves and permanent preservation areas.

In the earlier 2000 the Brazilian agribusiness sector was challenged to deliver certified products, especially fruits to external market. Identifying the potential market, Daniel Lobo graduated in Food Engineer created Ecolog Consulting, a company focused in the agribusiness sector.The first implementation started in Northeast of Brazil, for grapes and mangos and in 2003 the first EurepGAP (actual Global GAP) certification was achieved. In 2004, Ecolog started a gap analysis in livestock farms using ISO 14001 and SA 8000. And in 2007, Terra Boa farm was certified against ISO 14001, the first livestock Brazilian farm to be awarded with this certificate.In 2008, Ecolog established a partnership with DuPont Agribusiness Brazil, the idea was to evaluate social and environmental activities in cotton and soy bean farmers. In 2009, Daniel Lobo was hired by UNICA and shifted most of Ecolog activities to sugarcane sector.
