While working at the CRA, my main responsibility was to process objection files across multiple projects in a timely manner. I was able to both keep records organized and ease the workload of my coworkers. I also demonstrated initiative by taking on new responsibilities when necessary. Working at the CRA gave me a greater sense of perspective on the importance of the public sector. Working as part of a close-knit team also served to highlight the importance of communication in achieving success as a collective.

During my co-op term at Deloitte, I worked primarily as a member of various audit teams. I assisted team members in the preparation of audit working papers, which allowed them to work more efficiently. I also worked briefly in the tax department, in which I helped prepare personal tax returns during tax season. Working at Deloitte served as my introduction to the world of public accounting, which allowed me to further develop important skills such as my communication skills and my time management skills.

During my time at Taylor Steel, I assisted senior members of the accounting department through the accurate data entry of production order forms and invoices into the accounting system. I was also tasked with keeping daily running totals of sales, freight, and storage invoices. I also showed initiative by taking on additional responsibilities when necessary, which allowed my colleagues more time to complete their daily responsibilities. My time at Taylor Steel was instrumental to my individual growth, due to it being my first experience in the world of accounting.
