Daniel Pimentel is the co-founder and director of Emerge, where he focuses on intellectual property, technology scouting, technology transfer, and the intersection of science and industry, with a specialization in deep techs. He has collaborated with major companies and universities, while also empowering and assisting over two thousand scientists and researchers in bringing their innovations to the market. Additionally, Daniel has invested in and founded more than 10 deep tech startups that leverage Brazilian assets, such as biodiversity and large production chains, to develop high-value products and address climate change. He also conceptualized and led the first Entrepreneurial University Ranking. Daniel holds a law degree from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and a master’s degree in complex systems modeling from the University of São Paulo.
