As a Process Engineer in CB&I's rotational training program, I am broadening my process design experience and building knowledge that will position me for a permanent assignment in the company's Technology Group. I have worked on basic engineering packages across several of the group's technologies such as hydrocracking, ethane and ethylene recovery, and butadiene recovery. In the course of these projects I develop, analyze, and troubleshoot process simulations, design key process equipment, and prepare other necessary documents such as material and utility balances and process flow diagrams. I also perform studies and additional calculations as required by the project, for example to explore multiple design options or to answer questions from the client.

During Valeant's eight-week program, I built an Item Master Database for Valeant's product portfolio using Microsoft Access. I collected, collated, and organized over sixty data points for over five hundred of Valeant's products, and created a streamlined front-end interface to make reading and editing this data as quick and easy as possible. When the database was complete, I presented it before Supply Chain management and wrote training materials to facilitate continued use of the database in my absence.
