I am part of the administration team at Des Moines Eye Surgeons. I oversee operations of Eye Designs Optical as well as Des Moines Eye Surgeons, splitting my time between the two. My responsibilities include payroll, insurance, reporting and analytics, production accountability, and marketing. I run our two facebook pages and instagram pages and coordinate with vendors for in office marketing.

I create imaginative balloon sculptures that thrill people of all ages! The magic and delight of balloons crosses all generations. Everyone enjoys watching me twist colorful balloons into recognizable characters, incredible wear-ables, and comical sculptures! Creations With A Twist has been in business for over 20 years and has provided balloon art for every event imaginable. I've created and maintained a strong client base, developed a knack for public speaking, and established excellent customer care.

As one of six licensed opticians that work at Eye Designs, my responsibilities include rx and non-rx sales, customer capture, board management, insurance billing, adjustments, and verifying lab work. I am also involved in inventory management as a frame buyer and I work with lab representatives to competitively price our services to best suit our customers needs.

I was part of a leadership team that oversaw sales to focus on improving overall quality and brand for our customers to give them clear choices, knowledgeable recommendations, and quality customer service at a clear price. My duties also included in helping managing the day-to-day operations of the store, customer care, and sales.I coached associates in sales techniques, brand and product knowledge, Net Promoter Score evaluations, how to collect OneSight donations, and how to increase our conversion.I am fully cross-trained in the lab and seamlessly transitioned to where I was needed during high volume times.

Our team helped customers choose eyeglass frames and lens treatments, such as tints or non-reflective coatings, based on their vision needs and style preferences. We also repaired or refit all types of broken eyeglass frames. I led team training sessions on lenses, frames, and sales techniques. Together we improved our knowledge of the products we sold to give a better customer experience overall.In addition to the front-of-house optical work, I learned how to edge, hand bevel, hand edge, polish, and other back-of-house duties. Finally, I managed the inventory and met with frame representatives to purchase and replace product for the office. I ran reports on current inventory, history of sales, turnover, board space allotment vs turnover, and stale inventory.
