Supporting local authorities and others to install infrastructure that encourages walking and cycling.

Delivering a wide range of projects, primarily supporting households to become more efficient, in their use of energy, reducing waste or reducing water usage.Additionally I worked on a voluntary basis, such as assessing bids for the Cancer Innovation Challenge. The Challenge is looking at how technology can be used to acquire better data on patient reported outcomes and experiences.Example of projects include: using behaviour change techniques to encourage more people to use their heating controls effectively, for the Energy Saving Trust.Prior to that, I delivered projects (i) developing in home water efficiency advice for the Energy Saving Trust and (ii) providing management support to Remade in Edinburgh and (iii) providing support to community groups (iv) writing a case study on alternative ways to use the ISM behaviour change model for the Sustainable Scotland Network, (v) working as a part time associate for Changeworks. The water efficiency work has drawn heavily on my experience in behaviour change and of being a fuel poverty advisor, to ensure the advice is useful and will engage householders and motivate them to reduce their water use. The work with Remade draws on my experience of evaluation and understanding impacts. Working with the community groups has been all about helping them to understand how they can engage with their communities more effectively.I provided project management, carbon reduction, behaviour change, waste and energy support to organisations looking to reduce their environmental impact. Clients included: Energy Saving Trust, Heriot-Watt University, Changeworks and Zero Waste Scotland.While working freelance I was also a trustee of the Welcoming Association. I gave support, guidance and advice for their home energy projects that support refugees and migrants.

Developed and implemented a business plan for the pottery, including up skilling staff, improving equipment and the quality of the finished products.

Responsible for the reliability of electronic components used in the then groundbreaking digital telephone exchange, System X. This included testing components, specifying and liaison with manufacturers to improve reliability levels.
