FounderIntangible Technologies Sep 2020 - PresentBorn from experiencing the pain of Digital Transformations inside of legacy companies, I realized that companies lack the ability to quantify value outside of financial metrics. Aspects like developing employee's knowledge, having the right management styles in place and diversity of all kinds are all proven to be drivers of business success. But how are you able to showcase the value of these aspects when they don't immediately effect the bottom line?I tackled this problem by looking at how blockchain based assets when paired with smart contracts and automated market makers derive value from the functioning of the overall system. This allowed me to come up with a framework for how intangibles can be given a value and weighting in real time. With this real time data of intangible values, the management styles of tangible assets aren't as effective. New ways of thinking about value creation are needed to best optimize ROI. Intangible.Tech uses this framework as a lens for analyzing the technology landscape and applying how to optimize intangibles around advancements that ultimately improve the chances of successful change management.Invented a New Way to Measure Intangible Asset Prices♦ Created a Quantum physics algorithm for optimized use in a classical computing paradigm♦ Provides insight into how intangibles build off each other and ultimately drive revenue♦ Enables new ESG metrics around governance as you're able to assess management effectiveness against intangibles, not just financial performanceProvide Analysis and Strategies that Iteratively Drive Organizational Change♦ Work with senior executives on crafting a strategy across tech and people proven to provide ROI♦ Allow strategy to be executed in phases, ensuring successInvent AI Algorithms as a Side Project♦ As a hobbyist I have invented multiple algorithms for use across a myriad of products♦ Spend my free time researching and immediately innovating with learnings -

Senior Technical Product ManagerGe Jan 2018 - Sep 2018Boston, Ma, UsDead set on solving the $640 million/year software bug I uncovered in my audit pilot, I turned down the lucrative corporate position to remain "in the trenches" with teams to fix many disparate IT supply chain system issues. Thanks to what I previously learned, the issue was purely technical but required product and executive support to link the needed parts together which necessitated self-teaching myself product management and digital transformation principles.Owning the strategic vision for Supplier Data Link, we were set to utilize cutting-edge blockchain inspired technology to navigate highly regulated FAA and military requirements while simultaneously allowing suppliers to interact and send transactional, operational and advanced engineering information down to tier 8 levels of granularity. The product iteration path allowed GE Aviation's core legacy execution systems to maintain day-to-day processes while simultaneously allowing the business to sunset legacy products and shift to modern, cloud driven architectures furthering the pace of innovation. In a complicated web of stakeholders I worked cross-functionally across jet engine engineering and QA, sourcing, supply chain, software engineering, software design, data science, data engineering and security teams to get the product to lift off (pun intended). Navigated Legacy Methodologies, Beliefs and Technologies♦ Shepherded key stakeholder and political support for changing product development practices♦ Used technical knowledge to highlight changing IT tactics and delivery mechanismsFirst Supply Chain IT Team Using Agile♦ Championed UX research and discovery practices across supplier landscape♦ Managed executive and VP stakeholders across 3 funding sources over $2.1M initial investmentAdditional Responsibilities♦ Transitioned global Sourcing Profile application with over 10k active users from Waterfall to Agile♦ Worked with third party vendors to implement enhancements and legacy bug fixes -
Corporate Audit StaffGe Nov 2017 - Jan 2018Boston, Ma, UsPiloting for my dream position within GE, I spent one month in Atlanta, Georgia working as an auditor applying my technical skills towards GE's two most critical issue at the time, cash on hand and supplier management. The result? Identifying a $640 million/year software bug across their entire financial system.Although at the time I did not realize the full scope of what I was working on, you can best read the problem I was solving in the Wall Street Journal linked below. I've experienced firsthand consequences of poor technical understanding amongst leadership and this remains the trigger of my passion towards preventing these issues for others and how Blockchain fundamentally evolves financial systems.Phase 1 - Is this a people problem?♦ Spent first week interviewing and talking to buyers and supply chain workers across globe♦ All employees were doing as they should, this was determined to not be a people problemPhase 2 - What IT systems are people interacting with? Which matter?♦ Leveraged systematic and information systems thinking♦ Mapped out all IT systems and interactions that supply chain workers used to adjust supplier terms♦ Identified the critical or transactional systems that were the "systems-of-truth"Phase 3 - Applied data science and engineering to raw financial transactional information♦ Knowing which systems mattered I combed through over 60GB of raw transactions♦ Self taught myself Altyrex for auditing my data engineering (ensured accuracy of findings)♦ Leveraged Spotfire to visually analyze data model insights♦ Used business knowledge to comb for anomalies across systemsPhase 4 - Presenting the problem and outlining solution♦ Identified ERP data mapping issues across all GE-run ERP financial systems♦ GE lacked a system-of-truth that was accurately distributing data to all payment systems♦ People within the business were doing their jobs correctly; the systems were not executed digitally (only thing that matters) -
Digital Technology Leadership ProgramGe Digital Jan 2016 - Feb 2018San Ramon, California, UsThe world's top digital leadership program included four, 6-month rotations across the globe that allowed me to garner deep technical and business experience that only GE's scale could allow. I was introduced to the company's most pressing problems and how technology can enhance and solve them.I can't speak enough to experience this provided me allowing to enhance my technical and leadership skills through on the ground implementation work with the best the company had to offer.Immersion 1 - Summer 2016 - Indiana University♦ Introduced and developed relationships with 200 leadership program members from around the world♦ Worked in small-teams to deliver working prototype cloud applications in hackathon environment♦ Educated in design thinking and modern, UX focused application development principlesSpecial Project - Aviation IT Cost Out Team - Fall 2016♦ Selected based on knowledge of consumer and enterprise hardware pricing models ♦ Blended data science & business knowledge to achieve over $8 Million in IT cost out♦ Renegotiated vendor contracts with Dell, HP, Verizon and AT&T leveraging business model knowledgeCrotonville, NY Leadership Academy - May 2017♦ Attending leadership training workshops at GE's prestigious leadership facility♦ Exposed to GE's greatest leaders across the globe and the methodologies they practice♦ Worked with team members across all business leadership programs (Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing)♦ Part of Diversity committee with GE's global leader on STEM, LGBQ+ and minority representationImmersion 2 - July 2017 - Bangalore, Indiana♦ Experienced GE and the world's most dominant tech town over 3 weeks♦ Practiced cybersecurity tactics and application development in hackathon environment♦ Leveraged vast network of leadership program to recognize problem areas business Graduation Committee Lead♦ Responsible for the planning and execution of GE's annual DTLP graduation event♦ Maximized allotted budget for events -
Digital Leadership Program | Front End Engineer | Tooling ModernizationGe Digital Jul 2017 - Jan 2018San Ramon, California, UsWanting more front end experience I joined the IT team dedicated to modernizing our jet engine engineer's toolsets. Due to highly regulated data governance the team was limited to using legacy architectures and was not able to use off-the-shelf cloud tools utilized in other initiatives. This meant everything created had to be done internally.Leveraging this hybrid cloud approach I built a modern Vue.JS-powered front end interface for GE's Predix-based engineering platform. It gave the ability for users to have the same customized interface across mobile, desktop and shop floor viewing without the dependency of VPN services. With this I also gained automation testing experience using the Selenium toolset highlighting how QA is built into mobile application development from the onset and how it can improve engineering velocity on an ongoing basis. However, throughout all the technical work myself and the team did the initiative was ultimately deemed a failure. We prepared infrastructure and application dependencies for 10k+ users built when live only received a small handful of usage. This cemented to me how important the field of product management and Agile is to organizations. Ensure that development is always solving customer pain points and that users and the business are aware of what is happening. It doesn't matter how technologically and UX-focused something is if it's not solving the core problem.♦ Scaled GE Aviation's enterprise engineering system's hybrid cloud to 10x user base♦ Rewrote platform’s front end in a responsive, persona based Vue.js app♦ Automated front end QA testing through Jenkins triggered Selenium testing -
Digital Leadership Program | Shop Floor Digital Transformation | Data Engineering & ScienceGe Digital Jan 2017 - Jul 2017San Ramon, California, UsThis has been the most fun I ever had at work. Paired with a small team of supply chain specialists and IT support members I was able to help lead a successful Digital Transformation of one of GE and Airbus's primary supply locations. Delivery rates at the shop improved more than 200% and can be directly tied back to our team's work. The site used a customized MRP that was based on a local software provider's bakery (yes, bakery) material resource planning software. This #1 highlights how the software landscape has changed and #2 how technology only requires slight modification to be used across varying purposes.I reverse engineered the system's legacy COBOL system to understand its underlying data models to re-create the data flows into Spotfire powered reports. This allowed us to ask questions to workers about why processes were in place and find how to better optimize.Once optimized, I translated the model into the site's new ERP system to when-live would have all new processes in place and automated reporting away from Excel into always-up-to-date views of shop floor movements. Going a step further to improve data compliance, I lead a full stack developer to create a persona-based, federated controlled app that made reports visible only to the underlying shop departments. This gave a full audit trail of changes in addition to an easier onboarding process for new workers. ♦ Transformed COBOL data models into a more modern SQL-based system♦ Centralized data flows across 200 Access databases (and eliminated them)♦ Powered over 40 persona-based visualizations across 2 vastly separate MRP technologies and systems -
Digital Leadership Program | Jet Engine Repair | Sap Hana | Data ScientistGe Digital Jul 2016 - Jan 2017San Ramon, California, UsMy second rotation allowed me to use my previous cloud experience to modernize data flows for analysis inside of GE's Jet Engine Repair business. As this is GE Aviation's primary revenue generator it highlights how Big Data and modernization of tooling and processes can have ginormous impact on bottom lines for businesses.Jet engines need repaired just like your cars do. Every X amount of flight hours require certain parts to be taken off engine and either swapped or repaired. By having the correct data insights around flight patterns and part failure timings you can then optimize when a part should be repaired at the most opportune time resulting in savings. Repair too soon and you lose out on additional part wear but replace too late and you know lose out on timing and even safety. To highlight this I created many live-data based analytics reports showing when elements would need repaired, why and the cost benefit analysis of doing so (all in the same interactive view). However, to get this all in a single report I needed to modernize data flows. Using the cloud knowledge I built in my previous rotation I extracted batch (legacy) systems and moved the source feed to a semi-faster system before ultimately residing in an ultra fast in-memory solution (SAP HANA). I would not have been successful if I didn't know how to blend the business analysis and understanding with the technical elements around data storage and flows.♦ Data Scientist role focused on product direction of predictive fleet servicing (contract agreements)♦ Created data models enabling GE Aviation’s Overhaul Services team with over $100 Million/Year improved maintenance scheduling♦ Enabled 480% system performance gains by creating an intuitive 1-way API service to SAP HANA; without this the full speed of HANA's in-memory system would not have been realized -
Digital Leadership Program | Full Stack Developer | Cloud | PaasGe Digital Jan 2016 - Jul 2016San Ramon, California, UsMy first rotation inside GE's leadership program placed me amongst GE's most innovative team creating the company's future of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).It allowed me to use my previous hardware experience and apply it towards Software-As-Infrastructure. With AWS and CloudFoundry I created Chef scripts that when used would spin up cloud-technologies with all dependencies in-tact for software to be installed. This was pre-Docker and Kubernetes days and gave me tremendous insight into the time-savings the later technologies provide to the space.Being a founding member of GE's 1Fleet initiative I was on the initial development team responsible for its initial underlying architecture and how modern cloud technology provided an avenue for the company's most critical supply chain data. It was Digital Transformation in-action allowing for future teams to scale 10x and continue development.♦ Created micro-service development best practices across GE's Predix and AWS platforms♦ Automated API documentation as services were built with Postman and Jenkins scripts♦ Utilized a mix of Chef, Jenkins, Node.js, polymer, Java, SAML & postgreSQL♦ Part of GE Digital's first DoJo experiment by spending 3 weeks in San Ramon, California amongst GE's top digital teams in a hack-a-thon esque environment -

FounderComputing With Dan Jun 2004 - Sep 2015Starting as a summer technology camp project with my local college, I first purchased the domain when I was 12 years old. I leveraged early (local) Google ads and word of mouth to start my technology business. In my hometown as a tech repair person I couldn't simply tell someone to go buy a $2.5k Apple machine. I had to figure out how to make a $200 computer perform so that my consumers could reach their goals and make me $20 in the process - I loved solving new problems!Starting off I cleaned client's Windows based machines eventually learning to speed up my processes by automating registry scripts and creating my own ISO images so that I could lifeguard while the machines would reformat with all my enhancements intact. At one point I had 3 laptops cleaned on top of my 4-hour lifeguard shift - efficiency! This quickly grew into a infatuation with optimizing machines across both hardware and software leaving my parent's basement riddled with computer and speaker parts across all makes, models and operating systems. This tinkering was the only thing that would pull me away from my other love at the time - swimming.I kept the site running to tinker with web tech and share my thoughts, ideas and projects across a wide range of technology topics.Technology Consulting, Repair, and Ordering ♦ Over 550 satisfied businesses and consumers ♦ Reduces average cost of technology purchase 40% across both enterprise and consumer ♦ Use business knowledge of how companies make money to find wholesale or back-market savings Extensive Consumer Technology Experience ♦ Software (Web, Mobile, Embedded) ♦ Custom Alexa & Google Voice Assistant Integrations ♦ Android customization for users to maximize their hardware purchase ♦ G Suite offerings catered for education & business lowering their monthly IT chargesOpen Source Development ♦ GPU mining algorithms (heated college house with excess heat) ♦ Stellar use cases and implementations

It Leadership Intern | Military Cyber Intelligence Analyst | Ai DeveloperGe Aviation May 2015 - Aug 2015Cincinnati, Oh, UsI never realized at the time how cool cyber security was. I found this 3 month rotational internship to be stimulating but not entirely something I was ready to make a career out of. However, it taught and showed me that we're great at defending firewalls and networks but extremely poor at defending against human folly or unknowingly clicking things that appeal to us.Growing up I was always taught to expect the best in people. China, Russia, North Korea and other enemies of state I knew were bad but never did I expect to see them as someone out to get us. This summer was instrumental in allowing me to shift viewpoints and put myself in the seat of others and how architecture is critical in preventing Cyber attacks. No matter how secure something is; where there is a will there is always a way and it takes effective monitoring and dedicated teams of experts to keep things operating smoothly.AI Analyzation Software | Searching Cyber Attack Database for Commonalities- Analysts provided up-to-date attack indicator triggers based on GE's CRIT database- Saved analyst's time to attack resolution by 1.5 hours weekly (they spent more time fixing than searching)- AI recognized common themes and highlighted what exactly to be looked at (automated backlog)AI Based Visual Cyber Intelligence Analyzer- Visualized cyber attacks on GE Aviation's Military Security Firewall- Over 1.4 million cyber attacks would hit the network daily resulting in rich data to analyze - Used the above AI tool to convert python output to create an interactive web view- You could clearly see if North Korea, China, Russia or others were attacking us and where based on dataReverse Engineered Malware Attacks- Recognized attack trends and variables that would create vulnerabilities- Used SecOps toolset to analyze what was being attacked, when and by whom- Experience how Chinese and others utilized social engineering to bypass traditional network blocks -
It Leadership Intern | Master Data Management | Data Intelligence & AutomationGe Aviation Sep 2014 - Dec 2014Cincinnati, Oh, UsThis was a great experience that first got me involved in the world of Big Data and how efficiency of business and IT initiatives can be drastically improved by utilizing modern ways of working and thinking.Combing master data amongst its many supply chain partners I was able to filter data through multiple cleaning solutions leveraging Python and other toolsets to improve record matching across systems. It highlights how legacy systems don't have the intelligence to look past exact character matches and how something as simple as a (,) or (.) inside of a data input field can affect millions of dollars of asset management costs.Additionally, it allowed me to build skills around visualizing data and its criticality towards further insight analysis. It's just a step in the data-lifecycle but valuable skills I would only build upon in my later experience. -
It Leadership Intern | Shop Floor Tooling | Erps | Oracle & ProficyGe Aviation May 2014 - Aug 2014Cincinnati, Oh, UsThis was my first experience directly with enterprise software and its long, big-bang approach to roll outs. I was able to spend a week in Florida aiding in the rollout of both Proficy and Oracle ERP systems.Working across multiple shop floor teams with GE's Aviation repair businesses I was able to roll out new software months early by treating the corporate infrastructure as a desktop computer (what it really is). Data migration was solved using simple, open sourced readily available technology and installation was a matter of simply remoting into host computers on-site.This proved, again, to me how inefficient project management is when initiatives aren't being lead by implementers and instead being held to legacy processes. Yes, process is their for a reason but when switching to outcomes (installing software and migrating data) you can vastly improve efficiency by utilizing new experience of your employees.Having delivered my key goals early I was able to partner with GE's Sam Ramon advanced research team on building a PoC Google Glass and Android Wear based Jet Engine shop floor repair tool. It allowed workers to eliminate the need to have paper directions and instead displayed CAD renderings of parts and their assembly instructions. It reduced shop floor inefficiency to the point it saved one specific shop $4 Million in unproductive "steps." -
Ge Global It Center | Cloud Infrastructure | Vmware Hardware ManagementGe May 2013 - Aug 2013Boston, Ma, UsAs an intern at GE's only facility housing all businesses across the conglomerate I was able to gain and utilize technical skills across a wide range of global initiatives. This role allowed me to utilize my strengths in understanding enterprise hardware and how to best scale and maximize multi-core, multi-regional networking to enable business-critical processes. It also introduced me to the inefficiencies of Project Management and legacy IT methodologies such as ITIL and its combination with Six Sigma. What would take (at most) a week of initiation would be dragged on for months directly impacting millions of dollars of business initiative.Documentation and alignment is critical. However, having ten people manage initiative and no one actually hands on keyboard leading through implementation results in inefficiency that no process will ever resolve.♦ Managed over 9,000 Virtual Machines across 112 locations using VMware solutions♦ Hardware mapped all 2013-2015 GE server equipment for contractor execution using Visio♦ Focused on technology delivery processes - Tollgate Review, ITIL, and Six Sigma♦ Worked with HP and Dell vendors on standardizing blade server layouts across data centers♦ Reduced vendor spend by eliminating unneeded after-market support -
Lifeguard & ManagerWhite River Aquatics Jul 2011 - Aug 2012Ensured a safe environment at Muncie's largest public pool overseeing 800+ people daily across very diverse backgrounds. This role was more fun than my other lifeguard jobs as this allowed me to help keep those safe around water whom may have never had exposure. My favorite rotation being on top of the water slide where I would be able to converse with patrons and judge their swimming abilities before entering the water - also allowed me to have fun and tease about the turbo button (A made up button to make them think the water flow would speed up). Although not always correct, I was able to alert guards below to stay on high alert when I thought a patron may not be the best swimmer and reduced time to save by more than half when accurately predicted.Full-Time Lifeguard and Manager ♦ Organized and managed a staff of 25 part time and full time employeesDeveloped rotations and system for optimizing lifeguard alertness and effectiveness ♦ Used national lifeguard data to rotate stations every 8 minutes ♦ Measured 'whistle blows' increased, running accidents and saves decreased
