Provide technical input and recommendations to the Operations Shift Manager to expedite service restoration activities or to avoid similar incident re-occurrences by modifying processes. Provide technical hands on training to Junior and Senior Analysts for BMC Applications. Contribute to the creation of BMC Operations Training Documents to assist Junior and Senior Analysts (BMC BladeLogic Server Automation Console, BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Server Alerting Console and BMC Remedy 8.1). Perform regular scheduled maintenance on the banks ZOS Mainframe Logical Partitions. Understand and follow security processes and understand how they apply to this role. Contribute to BMO Financial Group’s overall business results by making recommendations that significantly improve operational efficiency and effectiveness through the 'BMO Innovation Initiative'.

Provided on-site computer support to students, staff and faculty as an Information Technology Assistant; using the IT Ticket Work Order system. Troubleshooting computer hardware problems and network related issues, replacing hardware on Dell Optiplex Systems 745 to 990 and the Dell Latitude Laptop series. Backing up of faculty data and using Altiris deployment software to image computers with operating systems or programs through the network. Troubleshooting Crestron equipment and Extron EDID switches inside the classroom podiums. Drilling and assembling wire tracks in classrooms beside podiums. Provided technical support for Sanyo projectors; re-cabling of the hardware upgrades and the setup of audio and video equipment in the classrooms and for off campus college events. Was the only IT staff member as a student co-op placement in the IT/Media Services department during the 2011 OPSEU college strike.

Provided technical support for all issues related to computer hardware, software, logins, and printer issues for students, faculty and staff. This included creating temporary passwords every morning for student’s when their accounts had been disabled due to inactivity, and the reset Banner passwords for new students or those that forgot. Utilized Microsoft Office 2007 and the new Windows 7 Operating Systems to perform many of the tasks.

Loaded and unloaded trucks; used problem solving skills to load trucks in the shipping department. Drove reach truck, counter balance forklifts and used a cherry picker to retrieve product for other employees. Achieved Raymond Industrial Forklift Certificate in 2002.
