Among the things I am most recently proud of:-Under my leadership, the Beacon Health System online employee newsletter, The Beam, (http://beam.beaconhealthsystem.org) underwent a 44% growth in the number of sessions, a 47% increase in users and a 37% increase in page views from 2015 to 2016, helping to improve employee engagement and morale.-I was tasked with the responsibility of writing and editing content for print, digital, social and marketing collateral for the marketing campaign of Michiana’s largest fitness center, Beacon Health & Fitness. As a result of my contributions, the fitness center reached its membership goal before its opening.-I accomplished the goal of writing a YouTube video promoting Beacon’s Sunburst Race. The amusing video garnered more than 68,000 views (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNVeO2myRg8), helping to boost registrations and raise awareness of Beacon.Responsibilities included the following:-Writing, editing, proofreading and project management for Beacon Health departments and entities. -Development and coordination of marketing plans and marketing materials.-Initiated concepts and ideas for and developed creative copy for print, websites and social media. -Collaborated with Special Events/Social Media and Media Relations staff to develop/share stories for external coverage and social media.-Maintained relationships with key members of Medical Staff and Administration to enhance and foster communication between Marketing and Beacon Health. -Communications consultant for Beacon Health operations staff to identify meaningful and appropriate story ideas for internal and external publications.-Provided planning support for marketing efforts.-Monitored/devised quality assurance systems between departments/entities and within the Marketing Department ensuring timely, professional production and distribution of publications, ads, promotions.

Responsibilities included the following:-Managed the writing, editing, layout, and production for the bi-monthly Building Indiana News. The magazine’s page count grew from 60 to 80 pages, and won eight, national and international publication excellence awards.-Researched, developed, wrote, edited, and distributed marketing materials announcing the success of clients’ services and products, employee profiles, and events that routinely found placement in print and broadcast media outlets on a local, regional, and national level. -Organized media coverage for scheduled events, established cooperative relationships with media contacts, responded to media requests for clients, and maintained media database, resulting in expanded brand awareness for clients. Developed, wrote and edited marketing content for Web sites and other publications.-Generated ideas, performed strategic thinking, conducted research and interviews, and developed positive relationships with community, business, and political leaders.-Assisted in the preparation of Indiana Employer magazine, including promotion, writing, editing, and proofreading of Indiana’s largest employer-focused publication.

-Researched, wrote, and edited hard news, feature stories, and business profiles that produced award-winning results from the Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists.-Wrote up to 10 or more stories a week, investigated news tips, interpreted documents, and interviewed political, business, and community leaders, helping the newspaper's circulation to become the largest in La Porte County.
