My placement with EY saw me based upon two projects, one internal and one external. Externally working in a client facing role I collaborated on the development of guidance for the Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) documents for an international telecommunications agency. Which saw me develop a variety of skills required to communicate, collaborate and succeed while working with different scales of a client organisation. Internally I worked to develop a presentation and deliver a presentation to the wider team and partners. This presentation looked as to how clients in the Automotive and Manufacturing industries can best monitor and minimise their carbon emissions, highly needed with incoming CBAM tariffs and the phase out of ICE vehicles by 2035.

This 8 week internship allows for experience working within a major Engineering Consultancy firm. This role specifically works within the Whole Life Carbon Team, helping calculate and report on the Embodied Carbon of structures from both Embodied and Operational Carbon Sources. Projects included the development of tools used to increase the efficiency of which such reports for clients are compiled.
