Dr. Rascher received his Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley. He is Director of Academic Programs & Professor in the Sport Management Program at the University of San Francisco (USF), where he also has taught courses in sports economics and finance and research methods. He has also taught at Northwestern University, the IE Business School in Madrid, and UMass. He has authored over 70 articles and book chapters, as well as a text book, Financial Management in the Sport Industry, and has given over 100 presentations at conferences. He has been named Research Fellow of NASSM, received the ASMA's Scholar Lifetime Achievement Award, won Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Economics from AAI, and is also certified as a valuation analyst (CVA) by the NACVA.He has been named as an expert witness in dozens of cases, testified at 5 federal trials. 2 state trials, 3 arbitrations, and one appeals board, and given over two dozen depositions, written dozens of expert reports, and given dozens of public testimonies to government.
