SIMON Scholen is a foundation of eleven Islamic primary schools in the Netherlands. As IT & Education manager it is my goal to maximize the opportunities of IT for education. This means further refinement of the IT infrastructure, vision, professionalism of the teachers, finance and (adaptive) content.The pupils at the SIMON schools often have a language deficiency. My goal is to use IT in our education to improve the language skills of the pupils effectively.Working with children enables me to have practical knowledge about the value that IT /educational software can have on education.I work at SIMON (two days a week). Since the summer of 2023, I have been responsible for real estate topics (one day a week).

During our study we started with a group of friends with Chicha-education.Our primary business is providing training to teachers on how IT can be used during teaching.We provide training, coaching and customized training developed through practice.Chicha–education develops teaching materials that can be used in the classroom. Chicha-education works for schools, governments, publishers and IT companies.

Meerkring is a foundation of twenty schools in the city of Amersfoort, the Netherlands. As Policy Officer it is my goal to maximize the opportunities of IT for education. Skool is an innovative company in the Netherlands that has multiple solutions for IT in education.I'm always looking for the latest IT educational opportunities. One day a week I work at the Bilal Islamic primary school in the city of Amersfoort in the Netherlands. I give training and advice to my fellow directors and teachers on how IT can be used in education. The pupils at the Bilal school often have a language deficiency. My goal is to use IT in our education to improve the language skills of the pupils effectively.Working with children enables me to have practical knowledge about the value that IT /educational software can have on education.

I started as coach for teachers on how to use IT in the classroom. By various internal training courses and activities I became a Senior Consultant at Eduniek.I have done various activities throughout this period:- Sparring partner / coach of management in schools for primary education.- Develop and implement multi-year primary education plans for IT.- Training conducted around Interactive White Boards, educational software and process management.- Government programs for disadvantaged pupils.- Developing products offered by Eduniek- Publication of several articles on the benefits of IT in education.

I have been co-founder and board member at the Iederwijs Primary School at Soest.Starting a new school with an innovative educational concept was a challenge. Resistance from traditional government and inspectorate had to be overcome. Iederwijs learning occurs through interactions and relationships between people and their environment. You learn to deal with one another, the differences can be seen by looking down through each other to create, be inspired by others. There is no particular fixed sequence; it is not a linear process. The way of learning and the course is unpredictable. Everyone here has his or her personal mode of information processing. As a child his or her own power to follow is a continuous development.As a co-founder and initiator I learned a lot of politics, strategy, decision making, sociocracy (SKM) and collaboration.

After graduating I started working as a teacher at the primary Dalton School ASV in the city of Amersfoort. I have learned how to work with different age pupils and how IT can be used in the classroom. The Dalton school gives children freedom and responsibility for their own development. Children learn to be independently and to cooperate with other children. As a teacher it learns you to have confidence in the versatile growth of children.
