Guess How Much! Was a brand new retail concept which was about helping family households replenish their cupboards with their favourite brands at prices they love. We stocked everything from kitchen cupboard fillers to bathroom cabinet essentials, to quick fix home essentials and Pep&Co clothing. Due to the success of GHM and the adquisitions of Poundland by Steinhoff ,this format of store is now being rolled out in to larger Poundland stores across the nation.

Shop floor supervisor at B&M I give 100% on every shift, I am in charge of a team of 40-50 employees and my daily duties consist of: • Opening or closing the store• Ensuring all promotional spaces comply with company guidelines• Setting up a daily plan with my deputy manager so certain tasks or sections are prioritised • Check all department flows are correct according to company guidelines • Ensure that staff performance continues at a high level; when it doesn’t, to carry out necessary disciplinary procedures• Staff training. To provide sufficient guidance so they know how to do their job and their colleague’s job, therefore becoming less dependent on me. • Resolving complaints from unhappy customers or employees.• Motivating staff to want to improve themselves; happy workers are good workers• Rotas ensuring all sections of the store are covered at all times • Payroll• Direct Orders from the suppliers
