I am a degreed engineer with an MBA. I started the first part of my career as a technical sales representative. This is where I honed my people skills and became customer driven. However, I always knew something was missing. I taught myself programming and began to get consulting jobs on the side. The satisfaction I felt when completing a software project for a client was quite different than the feeling I would get when completing a sale. I knew there was no going back - I was hooked on programming and providing clients with software solutions. Once I established myself as a proven developer - I left the sales area to become a full time software developer. I am constantly training to stay relevant. I am also extremely passionate about solving customer’s problems with software and technology solutions. What I've worked onI have experience on backend and frontend development. I have worked in many different industries including manufacturing, food services, education, telecommunications, insurance, banking and federal government. I have implemented projects in my career that run the gamut from Visual Basic 3 up to C# (targeting the .Net Core framework). I am currently working in Asp.Net Core MVC both api and client. I have worked extensively with Winforms and Asp.Net Webforms in both Vb.net and C#. I have worked with backend databases SQL Server (7 through 2016), Sybase and Oracle. I have implemented and supported several ORM implementations including LLBLGEN and Entity Framework (4 through Core). I have worked on many projects that involved creating and supporting SSRS reports as well as Telerik reports. The current assignment I am on uses Telerik controls extensively for the Asp.net projects. The system of record for entering requirements, bugs, backlog items and impediments is Team Foundation Server. TFS is also our current code repository.
Listed skills include Microsoft Sql Server, Web Applications, Integration, .Net, and 46 others.
