His charisma, passion for continuous development, welcoming competitive drive, and creative ability to achieve highly impactful outcomes make him a natural leader on any team lucky enough to have him. He was consistently a top-performing producer on the admissions team and helped drive performance across the group by sharing best practices. He found his true calling in helping our students find their first role post-graduation on the Career coaching team, where his impact was immediate- driving our placement rates close to 98%. He spearheaded impactful partnerships with organizations like Ultranauts to secure high technical positions for our neurodiverse candidates and drive inclusive hiring practices. Dan is exceptional in his ability to communicate across various audiences while fostering an inclusive environment. Dan is an incredible asset to any team that is lucky enough to have him.", "Dan is an unbelievable talent. He lights up the room with energy when public speaking and it is something that has stuck with me for a long time. Besides public speaking, he is incredibly knowledgable in recruiting and hiring processes. This makes Dan a natural career coach and he has helped me even past his duties when we were at the same company. Dan has become an inspiration to me and any organization is lucky to be graced by his presence, hard-work and talent.", and "Dan started me on the path to change my life. I had been stalled in my career of seven years, so I applied to a bootcamp for reskilling. Dan was the person from admissions who called to gauge my interest. We were strangers then, but when he heard the stress and hesitation in my voice, he asked smart questions in a kind way. He was honest and encouraging over the phone and during the in-person interview. It was the push I needed to take the leap. I got lucky when Dan moved from admissions to career coaching during the course of my bootcamp. By then, we’d struck up a friendship, and I was glad to have him as an ally for my job search. As he helped me prep my materials, I knew he genuinely cared about my well-being as a jobseeker and as a person. It was not an easy process, but I felt better knowing I could count on Dan. His patience was invaluable as he helped me chart the course that was best for me. Two years later, I’m secure in my new career and so much happier, even in a very uncertain world. Dan never stopped believing in me, which helped me believe in myself. I’m so thankful for all of his help."

Account ManagerWebemed Jun 2016 - Nov 2016WEBeMED is a marketplace that works to connect college students to mental health providers via telemedicine. This organization functions on a SaaS model, charging providers a monthly membership fee to join the marketplace. After graduating, I worked as the University Development Coordinator for the start-up organization. Similar to the role of an account manager, I helped facilitate the connection between college students, mental health professionals, counseling directors, and other healthcare thoughtleaders. I was resonsible for pitching, onboarding, and training university leadership and counseling directors, psychologists and social workers. I worked to engage students on over a dozen campuses, and ultimately convert them to users on the site. I collected data and feedback from 100+ providers and 20 students following the release of our initial protype. In regards to telemedicine, state-laws and professional regulatory statutes hinder the possibility of a national, insterstate model. When deciding, where to expand our business, I analyzed , outlined, and summarized over 1,000 of legal documents regarding telemental health and insurance laws. Ultimately, I generated a 50 page report summarizing my findings, and created a legal-algorithm that helped co-workers understand the discrepancies between state regulations. This served as a huge resource when our deciding to expand into one state versus another, and determining where a provider would be able to maximize the value of the service. When working with any early-state tech platform, dealing with bugs and errors can be very taxing. To help identify and remedy these issues, I developed a student internship program. For 4-months, students worked to reverse-engineer the platform and offer their suggestions and findings. Ultimately, I worked with the students to develop a marketing plan that continues to be used for engaging students on new campuses.

Mental Health Column FounderThe Tulane Hullabaloo Aug 2015 - Jun 2016New Orleans, Louisiana, UsIn the fall semester of my junior year, Tulane tragically lost five students to suicide in the course of six months. This cluster of loss sparked a campus-wide movement to increase psychological services and offer additional resources for those struggling. Through personal experience and my work with others, I began to realize that most students were either afraid or uncomfortable talking about their own mental health. While it was okay to talk about the concept in the abstract, sharing their personal struggles was too frightening. I developed the idea to create a weekly mental health column in the university newspaper to help address this stigma through story-telling. Each week, I worked to recruit and coach students writers on sharing their story regarding a personal struggle with mental health. The focus of the column was on hope and recovery. I wrote a weekly introduction to the piece, blasted it out on various social media platforms. I worked with Tulane's counseling center and university officials to ensure the pieces were of the highest quality and would not trigger any adverse reactions. This column received the highest viewership compared to any other article combined. It obtained a national following and was continued after I graduated. THE COLUMN IN ENTIRETY IS ATTACHED BELOW. -
Greenwave Ambassador (Undergraduate Admissions)Tulane University Sep 2014 - Jun 2016New Orleans, La, UsIn the fall of my junior year, I was accepted into the Greenwave Ambassador Program through Tulane's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Less than 10% of students who apply to this program are accepted. During my two-year tenure in the position, I worked with students and families visiting campus for the first time. I was responsible for providing them with university/ admissions information, along with leading them across campus during a 90-minute tour. The groups ranged in size from 15-60 people. I regularly hosted students visiting over a long-weekend, brought them to classes, and even went out with families following the tours. I worked campus special events including alumni tours, honors weekend, and spoke at various panels. At the end of each tour, I gave out my contact information. I followed-up with families for months after their visit to ensure they received the highest quality of information regarding their application. During my senior year, I was awarded tour-guide of the year out of a group of 150 students. I had conducted over 40 tours in one semester and received the highest overall rating. Upon graduation, I have worked recruitment events at a local NYC high school and sit on the alumni student-interview panel. -
