Sitting Board Member for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Utah/Idaho Chapter. One of founders of "Drae's Dream Team", a community effort to raise both money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the name of my daughter and all others diagnosed with CF to have better access to medicine, treatment, and quality of life. Founder of "65 Roses, Crossfit for Cystic Fibrosis". This is an annual athletic competition with hundreds of athletes who compete for prizes, while raising money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. As a Father of a child diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, it is my passion to raise both awareness and money for the foundation. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is so rare, that if affects less than 30,000 young adults in the United States. I say "Young Adults", because the life expectancy of someone with CF is only 36yrs young. Since my daughter was diagnosed at 4 weeks old, she endures a little over 2 hours of breathing treatments ever day, and will continue to do daily treatments until there are medical advancements or possibly a cure. These medical advancements and clinical trials are funded purely by generous donations and fund raising efforts. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation uses 90 cents of every Dollar directly towards clinical research.
