Responsible for all CT Bureau strategic planning, policy planning, program and budget planning and oversight, and legislative relations and interaction.Oversaw $300 million per year in CT programs related to Countering Violent Extremism, Antiterrorism Assistance, Counterterrorism Financing, Counterterrorism Engagement and Regional Initiatives.Managed the Office of Programs including oversight of 20+ personnel.Represented the Bureau and the US Department of State in interagency and international meetings, conferences, Congressional briefings, and other fora.

Oversaw all aspects of program planning, strategic planning, and new program development of security cooperation programs that supported the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Combatant Commands in the Middle East and South Asia region. Managed Center-wide institutional development efforts to include long range budget and strategic planning, organizational and manpower structure, assessments and evaluations, and relationships with partner institutions and other government agencies.Developed new program initiatives including concept development and advancement of a region-wide Network of Strategic Studies Centers, in-region workshops, and stakeholder support events.

Developed and supported projects on ethnic conflict management in Macedonia; assisted in the development of new media and conflict mitigation projects in Burundi and Nagorno-Karabakh.Managed teacher training and inter-ethnic journalism projects; coordinated production of a six-part television series on ethnic relations broadcast in Macedonia. Responsible for a $350,000 annual budget, including tracking monthly expenditures and budget planning; assisted in raising funds in excess of $500,000; wrote funding proposals and reports.
