Lead refrigeration tech (CIRO certified) at a food processing plant. Maintain and service a two stage ammonia refrigeration system with twin screw compressors, DX/flooded/overfeed evaporators, heat exchangers, and evaporative condensers. Maintenance accomplishments include: Maintenance service of screw compressors (replace/inspect: suction strainer, oil filter/strainer, liquid feed strainer, coalescer filters, torque tightness in electrical cabinets, check valves); Replacing corroded/malfunctioning regulators and valves in attic/roof; Rebuilding liquid ammonia pumps (Cornell), oil pumps (Viking), condenser pumps (Bell and Gosset). Maintain and service a Kemco automatic instantaneous water heater equipped with a natural gas burner and roto-jet pumps suppling 200gpm/700psi water for sanitation. Wastewater tech: Operated the DAF (dissolved air flotation) wastewater treatment plant. Experience controlling pH with caustic and acid. Adjusted polymer and coagulant chemical feed pumps to react with the wastewater to create effluent water that met/exceeded guidelines set by the city. Accomplishments: decreasing chemical usage while also cutting back on sludge haul away - saving money in both areas. Rebuilt DAF whitewater centrifugal pump and pneumatic diaphragm pumps.Facility maintenance tech: Maintained facility of a SQF food processing plant. Experience with electrical troubleshooting (residential and industrial: 24v-480v), plumbing, carpentry, metal fab, install and repair. Troubleshooting experience with: Rytec overhead doors, dock locks and levelers. Accomplishments: changing out high bay lights (277v) to LED - saving energy costs, installing new utility drops from attic to production floor for install of machines: electrical (120v - 480v), air lines, vacuum lines, nitrogen lines, and cooling water loop lines.

Lead tech responsible for the preventative maintenance on all the production machines and presses, as well as major and minor repairs.Replaced, repaired, and maintained drive units on machines: gear boxes, bearing blocks, belts, pulleys, chain and sprocket, and lead screws. Identified machine malfunctions, problem solved to find best solution, and either repaired or replaced parts accordingly to provide dependable operation.Diagnosed mechanical problems with diaphragm pumps and rebuilt/replaced parts to ensure consistent and quality performance. Performed a majority of facility maintenance, including airline/water/steam plumbing, drywall, and electrical upgrades.Produced parts for machines using mill/lathe. Made to specifications via blueprints. Routine maintenance on boiler.

Installed irrigation (sprinkler systems) on commercial and private job sites. Gained experience on Bobcats, DitchWitches, and other landscaping machines. Also ran a snow plow truck throughout the winter.
