As the Technology Manager at Theta, I bring a wealth of industrial research experience, particularly in the Aerospace and Medical sectors, gained through involvement in various UK and EU programs such as the Aerospace Technology Institute NATEP RASCAL project on NDT for AM and the EU Horizon 2020 FaBiMed on fabrication and functionalisation of medical devices. Since joining Theta in 2017, my focus has been on advancing Nonlinear Acoustics techniques for Non-destructive testing (NDT) across a range of materials including Additive Manufacturing, metals, plastics, ceramics, and composites components resulting in the commercialisation of the technology.My current objective is to collaborate with industry partners operating in sectors like Aerospace, Power Generation, and Medical fields. These sectors face challenges in adopting novel materials and processes due to the lack of cost-effective NDT solutions. By leveraging my expertise in Nonlinear Acoustics, I aim to address this limitation and facilitate the adoption of innovative materials and processes, ultimately driving progress and efficiency.
