As a graduate of construction management at the University of Wisconsin Stout I've had extensive exposure to software programs and practical hands on courses. I've taken courses that involve software: Auto CAD, Revit, On Screen Takeoff, and WinEst. Practical courses I've completed include Light and Heavy Building Methods and Materials and Concrete and Masonry Technology. These courses have prepared me for Superintendent and Project Management positions. I have gained first hand experience of a Project Manager's duties with my time at KS Energy Services as a Construction Coordinator and Project Management Intern. During my time at KS, I have been in charge of the implementation of our estimating and job cost tracking software. I have collected field data and imported it into the system in order to improve our estimates and create accurate prices. I was put in charge of the Madison Gas & Electric sewer inspection pilot program. I had to keep the project on schedule and on budget, while maintaining client relations with MG&E. Lastly, I performed safety audits on gas installation crews and made sure proper safety procedures were followed. Along with my practical hands on courses I've the last two summers working for the Village of Elm Grove Department of Public Works. I quickly gained first hand construction experience working with crews throughout the village. I spent much of my time there removing and replacing culverts, asphalting driveway aprons, and drainage ditch work. I also gained experience with dealing with clients when communicating with residents.
