AoC is a membership organisation supporting Chairs and Vice Chairs of charities and social enterprises in England and Wales, helping people to lead good governance and run an effective trustee board.I oversaw our service deliver to members and non-members, including the events programme. I also managed our charity operations, taking responsibility for HR, finance (including management accounting), systems, compliance, and office management.

Holding day-to-day responsibility for buildings, IT, and production functions including residential housing, and all related budgets (c. £100,000 pa). Liaising with external contractors and project managing upgrades/renovations, specifying and purchasing new technical equipment for use in the church's context.

Upon leaving school in July 2010, I was offered a job as the school’s Site/Events Manager. As Events Manager, I was responsible for ensuring all the logistics of any school event were accounted for. This included catering, seating, technical provision (staging, lighting, sound, AV), security and front of house arrangements. For larger scale events, I managed small teams to undertake these tasks. The events I managed included school drama productions, music concerts, information evenings, open days and school lectures from visiting speakers. Most evening events resulted in long shifts, sometimes up to 16 hours in a day. I was a registered key holder for the whole site, and on 24 hour call. I was also responsible for liaising with contractors working on site, and managing the external users of the school facilities out of hours.
