My research at NREL integrates the synthesis and characterization of functional molecules and materials for advanced energy technologies. My current research efforts focus on the development of catalytic materials for biomass conversion to fuels (pyrolysis oil upgrading and gas-to-liquids processes) and solar fuels production (photomaterials development and water oxidation catalysis). In general, my research interests include inorganic chemistry and catalysis, materials design and synthesis through new synthetic pathways, renewable fuels R&D, thermochemical catalysis and processes, and renewable hydrogen and solar fuels production.Specialties: Inorganic Chemistry; Materials Chemistry; Catalyst Design; Process Catalysis
