Global product manager for highly-specialized high-voltage (200V - 5000V) power management products. I define product requirements based on market assessment, customer feedback, technical knowledge, and design tradeoffs. Aside from being product definer and owner, I generate and own the verification/validation plan and coordinate with a group of area experts to track progress and execute this plan. Evaluating the performance and reliability of leading edge, wide bandgap power semiconductor devices in targeted applications as part of TI's GaN thrust. Supported a business unit with a broad portfolio that included low-power dc-dc converters, display lighting, and PMICs with integrated fuel gauge, battery charger and power-path functional blocks. For my first job after graduating college, I joined this design and manufacturing outfit nestled in the Ozarks. Our catalog products were controllers for dc brushed motor applications -- mostly indoor electric vehicles, such as smart shopping carts and floor cleaners. My task was to take an all-discrete component approach to control and substitute it with an embedded micro-controller for our next generation products. I generated embedded and desktop software for internal use and for customers. This involved working directly with customers throughout the entire process: definition, development, and field support.
