Recruiting is all about relationships - relationships with candidates, hiring managers, stakeholders, and partners. All of these people come to the hiring process with a variety of interests, and as a recruiter I have to be able to understand their interest and build trust. This requires transparency as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Trust means they're communicating effectively and provide timely updates. Every good recruiter must be able to build strong relationships.My specialty as a recruiter is high-touch, high visibility corporate positions. I've recruited for startups and companies with 55k+ employees. I've recruited internally, and recruited for RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) organizations. I've recruited for positions in Human Resources/People, Legal, Finance, Operations, Education, Marketing, Healthcare, IT/Tech, and more. I've worked onsite, hybrid, and100% remote. I've had positions where my primary job is to sort through hundreds of applicants and find the right fit. I've had positions where we wouldn't get any qualified external applicants and I would have to find all of our candidates via sourcing (LinkedIn, Indeed, various job boards.)I'm most passionate about making a difference in the world. People are inherently valuable, and there's nothing better than working with incredible people to make the world a better place.
