First Team Performance Nutritionist

Intervention in the field of Sports Nutrition in the first team of professional football clubs:- Casa Pia AC - First Team (1st National Division)- CF Estrela - First Team (2nd National Division)- CD Mafra - First Team (2nd National Division)- SCU Torreense - First Team (2nd National Division)With the aim of optimizing health and sports performance:- Assessment of athletes' body composition through the ISAK protocol;- Assessment of hydration status by urine specific gravity and water losses;- Analysis, interpretation and intervention based on nutrition-related biochemical parameters;- Diagnosis and solving of nutritional-related issues (e.g.: micronutrient deficiencies, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disturbances);- Prescription of personalized meal plans and supplementation protocols;- Nutritional-specific interventions (e.g.: Ramadan, injury rehabilitation, muscle mass gain, fat loss, sports performance);- Informal intervention with players on a regular basis;- Development of evidence-based nutrition educational materials (infographics, videos) and presentation of lectures about nutrition and sports performance;- Creation of menu plans for training and match days (hotel stays, long trips and post-match);- Match day support: implementing pre-game and half-time nutrition fuelling strategies;- Working in a multidisciplinary team alongside the medical and performance department to optimize the rehab process, accelerate return to play, reduce risk of injury and increase performance;- Continued learning and engagement with current research in sports nutrition, applying new findings to practice, when applicable and appropriate. Nutritional consultations (one-on-one):- Personalized nutrition intervention tailored to the athlete, sport, different phases of the season and goals to improve health and sports performance.

Writing and creation of evidence-based digital educational content related to food and nutrition for the company website and collaborators.

Nutrition care in Internal Medicine according to the Nutrition Care Process:- Assessment of the nutritional status of patientes, diagnosis of nutrition-related issues and their cause;- Planning of nutritional prescriptions and interventions to alter or eliminate the etiology of the nutritional problem;- Monitoring and evaluation of the results;- Elaboration of nutritional prescriptions for hospital discharge and food education material.

Awareness actions in food and nutrition education with the themes: “Eat in the Right Portions, Live Better”; "Read the Label, Choose Better!"; "Taste More Flavors".- Advice and information on food portions, reading food labels and the importance of food variety promoted through interactive games and information leaflets.
