I have experience revising, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements, Grid Interconnection Agreements, Fuel Supply Agreements, Natural Gas Supply Agreements, and Natural Gas Transportation Services Agreements, among others.I have worked as an energy law advisor in different positions within the Mexican Federal Government during the implementation of the 2013-Energy Reform. I also have private experience representing international and national companies in the financing and development of energy projects in Mexico as an associate of a Mexican-based law firm. I recently obtained a Master of Law at the University of Texas School of Law with a concentration in Global Energy and International Arbitration. I focused my program on the development of clean energy projects to achieve the energy transition; rate-making principles and procedures in the electricity wholesale and retail markets; open access provisions for transmission and distribution lines; Distributed Energy Resources; energy commercial agreements; net metering regulation; reliability concerns regarding the implementation of distributed generation facilities and EV charging stations; and environmental, economical, and technical discussions related to the decarbonization of the economy.
