He is responsible for business development, customer and partner relations, strategic planning and recruitment. As the sales leader in the organization, Dan has become one of the top producers in residential real estate sales in southeastern Wisconsin.In addition to Dan’s brokerage experience, he is well versed in due diligence, financial analysis, obtaining project approvals, project coordination and management, site construction, raw land valuation, plan review, wetlands, storm water and municipal code. Dan is a forward thinking entrepreneur with an extensive knowledge base in residential and commercial development.BackgroundDan joined the MLG Family of Companies in 2003 as a Construction/Engineering/Development Coordinator. In this position, Dan managed all of MLG’s residential and commercial construction from final plan review to municipal acceptance. Prior to joining the MLG Family of Companies, Dan spent 11 years as a Construction Manager for a large local construction firm. He managed multiple construction sites, coordinated manpower and equipment and handled project budgeting. Dan worked with consulting engineers, landowners and subcontractors to unearth value overlooked during initial project letting.Professional Affiliations & DesignationsDan is a Licensed Wisconsin Real Estate Broker, a Certified Construction Professional, a Wisconsin Certified Erosion Control Inspector, and an active member of the Commercial Association of Realtors and the Metropolitan Builders Association.

The Waukesha County Land Conservancy (WCLC) was founded on April 22, 1992 with a mission to protect scenic or environmentally significant lands in Waukesha County.In 1994, we protected our first property, Martin’s Woods, a State Natural Area, with assistance from The Nature Conservancy. Martin’s Woods contains some of the greatest plant diversity in the Waukesha County with thousands of red trillium and a locally rare Kentucky Coffee tree.Just eight years later, over 500 acres were protected! In 2003, we surpassed 1,000 acres protected. Five years later, in 2008, the Conservancy has protected 2,000 acres across the county, and in 2023, we have just over 3,100 acres of environmentally-significant lands in Waukesha County protected in perpetuity thanks to a highly engaged and active volunteer board of directors, our dedicated committee members, supporters, and community leaders. Today, our mission is to protect and care for environmentally significant land and water in Waukesha County for future generations.

The Land Acquisition committee for the Waukesha County Land Conservancy provides early review of landowner inquiries to see if they warrant further consideration as a conservation project. The committee works with landowners who are interested in donating or selling land or conservation easements to the Conservancy. It considers all inquiries received by the group, looking at maps, photos, and other sources of environmental data to get a good understanding of the ecological condition of the land in question. The committee also conducts on-the-ground site visits to inspect the land up close, and meet with landowners. The committee then compares the attributes and liabilities of an inquiry against established goals, criteria to assure the lands in question meet the mission of the Conservancy.
