CurrentSupport application development by testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues within the environment, profiling applications to automate change and configuration management, perform configuration validation and incident and ticket management, communicate potential issues that may arise and take immediate action to prevent further issues, and evaluate the impact of pending releases on supported environments, providing information to release managers regarding these impacts, and remediating issues where necessary.Duties:•Provide support for a variety of applications by implementing monitors and triggers and placing these in critical locations to spot errors or situations which could impact the environment availability, monitoring production transactions through their processing cycles, and proactively intervening where necessary to insure all business service level agreements are met. •Respond to notifications related to environment and infrastructure issues and taking immediate action to investigate the incident and restore service availability with a focus on restoring end user availability. •Provide expert level support to application owners and their development teams by recording all details of the incidents in each ticket, providing communication as needed to business areas and application management/staff, and after service is restored, participate in root cause analysis/ reporting as appropriate. •Profile applications in order to automate change, configuration management, and minimize drift across the infrastructure.•Maintain a library of documentation to support the environments in our support matrix and keeping the knowledge base updated.•Manage OS changes, virtualization efforts, application maintenance outages, and version management. •Automating application deployments and creating automated processes focused on logging, alerting, and security mechanisms, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance and developer access to production restriction.
