I am currently a junior in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I am a huge advocate for trying new things, as I spend most of my free time seeking things that will push me out of my comfort zone. Whether that may be learning a new skill or trying to reach new heights in skills I have already learned, I believe there is no greater thrill than the one that comes after accomplishing these things. I am also very much a people person. I enjoy cultivating new relationships, as well as maintaining those ones I have made. These are the main reasons why I chose to pursue a career in business, as it will offer me the opportunity to try new things, as well as make meaningful connections along the way. I chose to study finance as I was always entertained by the stories my step-grandfather would tell me regarding his wealth management firm. I would spend hours listening to his stories after family dinners and consistently ask him to tell me more, so I could absorb as much of his wisdom as possible. In these stories, I also found that he was very similar to me in the way that we both shared a strong fascination in quantitative analysis and critical thinking. I look to build upon these skills, as well as develop other skills that will serve me well in the industry. So that someday I may be able to leave behind a legacy like he did.
