The technical department is the centre of everything at Taylor's Hoists. We select the correct hoist, survey the site and work from site drawings to correctly place and tie the hoist, guaranteeing a 100% safe and fully documented hoist install solution. The hoist preparation, delivery and installation teams are fully reliant on the output from technical in order for their part of the process to run smoothly.Overview of main duties:•Provide technical solutions for installing construction hoists for blue chip clients, such as Lendlease, Mace and Stanhope. •Create complete data packages including drawings, calculations, data sheets & technical reports.•Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping within the clients' deliverables schedule.•Managing a small team of technical draughtsmen/engineers to ensure completion of technical data packs within timescales.•Fixing selection calculations and reports.•Liaising with the hoist manufacturers to determine the most efficient technical solutions.•Designing bespoke components for tying hoists, such as stub plates, wall brackets etc. and liaising with fabricators to ensure manufacture and delivery to deadlines.•Liaising with third party temporary works engineering experts to determine technical solutions for bespoke, non-standard installations and individual components.•Continually improve processes and procedures to provide controls and measures that result in fast, consistent data pack creation, with the aim being 100% client satisfaction first time, every time.•Staff performance reviews.
