Tikkera is a stock trading paradigm that empowers mortgage shoppers with the tools needed to make wise mortgage decisions. Developed by an ambitious and thoughtful engineer, we launched the product in 2012 at DEMO. I used my understudy knowledge in Marketing, Operations, and Finance to assist the founder in the business' design and development. With a connection to a graphic designer and web designer, our team was successfully able to build a brand around Tikkera which included a functional website, developed logo, pitch book for investors, and an investor relations brochure. This project sparked an entrepreneurial spirit in my own career path to create and develop startup businesses. In my decision to continue my education through my MBA program, I did not prolong my relationship with Tikkera beyond the DEMO project. Overall, it was an exciting and eventful experience in a short and intense four months.

My intention for AXA Advisors was short-term. It was my first dive into the world of financial consulting and I was eager to pick the first company that would sponsor me through the Securities examinations. Prior to AXA, I was apprehensive of life insurance and life insurance salespersons, and I may interject that if there is any company that will change your mind of this negative stigma, it would be AXA. Here, I began to learn the inefficiencies of many businesses and lack of education in financial management. I focused on this and focused on the service to help others. This allowed me to successfully acquire over $2 MM of assets under management in my first and only year with the company. At the same time, however, I realized that my underlying agenda was not sales. I was interested in business strategy, development, and the inter-workings of business finance and operational procedures. Apart from the multi-tasking and office communication, my greatest endeavor was to make it a goal to learn something new about a guest each time I encountered them.
