- Design Engineer for the Following Products: TLL-1300, TLL-500A, TLL-500, Hi-Rail Utility Vehicle Emergency Rail Brake (Patent Pending), TLL-2000, TLL-2500, TTS-1500, and HLL-10-4000.- Collaborate with customers, designers, and other engineers to design products with safety, efficiency, and manufacturability in mind. Includes creating and checking part, weldment, and assembly drawings.- Perform stress analysis on designs through written calculations on Mathcad or Finite Element Analysis and provide feedback to designers on any necessary design changes to meet stress safety factor requirements.- Keep track of project timelines, provide budget updates, and prepare design review presentations.- Oversee production of the design, which involves communicating with welders/assemblers, inspecting parts/weldments, helping the production team with any obstacles or questions, communicating with vendors, approving or rejecting material certifications, and approving the product to ship out.- Oversee product testing, which involves preparing test procedures/components and leading the test. Handled preparations/safety checks for and led the first full-capacity test of the TLL-2500.- Provide customer service engineering including traveling to customers for product training, measuring equipment, answering design questions, and customer relations.- Experience working with hydraulics. Includes determining necessary cylinder size through, hydraulic schematics, and oil volume/flow through calculations/layout sketches.- Improved format and organization of product calculations/stress analysis, making the documents easier to follow and reference in the future.- Rigging & Safety Certification

Studied the forces on the bodies and joints of total hip replacement patients while they performed daily activities through the use of motion capture. The data collected was then used to give feedback to doctors about how successful the surgery was, or improvements that can be made. Also, I participated in the Vitalize project that uses the Xbox Kinect to capture the motion of patients and give them feedback in the comfort of their own home.

10 day ambassador program. We listened to representatives from companies such as Google, Facebook, Apple, Electronic Arts, Microsoft and many more in order to learn about entrepreneurship and technology. Spent most of the 10 days working in a team to create a LEGO Mindstorm Robot that can solve an every-day problem. We participated in many team building activities while traveling around San Francisco and northern California.
