Profile bio

About Danny Spitzberg

I lead user experience research for a cooperative economy. I'm trained as an economic sociologist and co-op business developer. My specialty is connecting worker co-design and digital product development. My process starts with worker-led research studies where community members collect, analyze, and decide how to use their data and insights, and it ends with that group developing an ownership model for a business they value and depend on. Over the past 6 years, I've trained over 150 first-time researchers in six teams with a staffing agency, led 30 participatory studies to inform UX and product roadmaps, and helped each partner become autonomous and sustainable by building client-side and community skills and capacity to do ongoing strategic research. For more, see my 2022 UXRConf keynote titled "Creating Standards: Our Secret Job as Researchers" at https://landing.joinlearners.com/talk/creating-standards-our-secret-job-as-researchers.

Listed skills include Nonprofits, Community Outreach, Research, Public Speaking, and 29 others.
