About Hans Danielsson

I thrive in the middle, right between business and technology and where strategy intersects with tactical implementation. A business person will say I am deeply technical, and a technical person will say I have strong business knowledge. I am a facilitator bringing these different sides together ensuring we are aligned on our goals and needs as well as ensuring we are optimizing the solution we are creating. In a world where technology is outpacing human contact, I remain curious to understand what personal stories lie within the organizations I work with, while creating trust, instilling confidence and building relationships along the way. To get to the true essence of the story I listen carefully to the answers to my questions.Overall, my trademark for the work I do is my passion for delivering exceptional results and my firm belief in teamwork and knowledge sharing. I thrive when given a tough challenge requiring me to get out of my comfort zone and learn new domains, question my assumptions and meet new interesting people. I love bringing my authentic self to work and having empathy for the people I work with.

Successfully lead the effort of transitioning a new mission critical solution and surrounding business processes from development to production. 3. Lead the effort to migrate all customer and billing information from a legacy to a modern solution for a large-scale CIS implementation These highlighted initiatives show my ability to not only take on a wide range of roles but also my ability to work with and lead very diverse groups of people spread out over North America and beyond.
  • It.Evolution
    Senior Consultant
    It.Evolution Mar 2002 - Jun 2006
An IT and management consulting company specializing in complex and high risk business and IT projects that require extensive levels of organizational alignment.During my time at IT Evolution I primarily focused on serving our utilities clients such as Fortis BC, Accenture Business Services, and BC Hydro in a wide range of capacities, highlights includes: 1. Developing a business continuity plan for a new large scale business unit 2. Transforming an under-performing technical support team into a highly effective team 3. Developing and implementing a service introduction methodology 4. PM, BA, and technical duties for a wide range of initiativesKey to my success in this role was my ability to quickly transition from working in smaller product focused software startups to working with large scale organizations outside of the high tech industry. • Infertek
    Operations Manager
    Infertek Jul 2000 - Feb 2002
Internet technology & services company providing web-based solutions for communication & content management through Enterprise Information Portals.I was hired to focus on building a Quality Assurance team but was very quickly asked to take on a larger role managing a diverse team involving project management, business analysis, technical writing and system administration duties. When I joined, a product deployment took days and only 10% of the deployments were deemed successful. A year later, my team and I had reduced deployment time to a few hours and with a 99% success rate. During this time, I also worked directly with our clients managing all aspects of the day to day relationship including project management and business analysis.
  • Exl Information
    Development Manager
    Exl Information Jan 2000 - Jul 2000
A leading developer and supplier of convergent billing and customer-care software to the long- distance, local and wireless telecommunication markets.Recognizing of my success on the QA front, the CEO asked me to take over our most critical product development initiative which was marred by slow progress. After an initial review, it was clear to me that the development team were lacking a clear sense of direction and the executives had little or no insight into the project. Working with the executives and broader leadership team I was able to build consensus on priorities, develop and get buy-in for a plan to complete the project within the given time line and budget constraints. In parallel, I worked closely with the development team to restore their confidence and create a sense of urgency to deliver the product. At the time of my departure, the project was on track to be delivered as planned.
  • Exl Information
    Quality Assurance Manager
    Exl Information Jun 1998 - Jan 2000
Being the first quality assurance focused person in the company I started by focusing on hands-on testing and creating a standard testing framework. Fairly quickly I expanded my work to include not only the developers but also the PMs and BAs since the root cause of a lot of the issues I found was low quality requirements. By taking a cross-team collaborative approach I was able to build and get full adoption of an end to end quality assurance framework that not only increased the quality of the end product but also reduced implementation times and costs due to reduced re-work.
