About Daniel Still
I am a spirited Physics major with 4 years of laboratory experience working in a medical environment and a research environment. I have experience in sterile techniques, operations, function generators and oscilloscopes, substrate preparation using solvent sonication and acids, spin coating thin films, and metal evaporation. I am always excited to learn new laboratory techniques and skills and enjoy working as a team member. As a medical provider in the United States Navy, I worked in a clinical environment and an emergency medical environment. The conditions were often fast-paced and high pressure requiring me to call upon skills quickly I had learned to save lives. I maintained a dedicated attitude to my work and sought cross-training in radiology and laboratory procedures to facilitate improved command response times. In college, I pursued research opportunities and coursework to enhance my understanding of physical systems. I investigated the dynamic motion of cylinders containing viscous fluids, working with others to develop a phase diagram for the system's behavior and producing a mathematical model to predict the behaviors. At Oregon State, I investigated the double layer capacitance of large-area single-layer graphene. I evaluated the changes in behavior between aqueous and gel electrolytes as the concentration of ions was changed.Currently, I am working at Intel in Components Research where I am getting the opportunity to assist in the development of next-generation chips.
