I will be applying to hematology/oncology fellowships that begin in 2026. My interest in oncology began as an undergraduate student laboratory assistant studying the role of stem cells in cancer biology in Dr. Max Wicha’s laboratory at the University of Michigan. Upon graduation, I received an NIH Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) to design and execute biomedical research in T cell development under the mentorship of Drs. Paul Love and Liqi Li. This work resulted in my authorship on four published papers in Science Signaling, Journal of Experimental Medicine, and Blood. ♦ Five published papers with first authorship on two. Continued scholarship as a medical student, authoring case report and literature review of Nocardia pseudobrasiliensis co-infection with SARS-CoV-2, featured for CME credit by CDC in their Emerging Infectious Diseases journal.♦ Three years T cell researcher as IRTA fellow at NIH.♦ Stem cell cancer biology research in Dr. Max Wicha’s laboratory at University of Michigan.♦ MD-VCU School of Medicine, graduated May 2023. Susan Mellette Scholarship Award recipient for excellence in oncology and strong academic achievement.
