My motto is “let’s do it now and get it finished”.I am outgoing type who make things happen by organizing people and resources so ideas, discussions and experiments are turned into action. I enjoy meeting with others and discussing issues, but I will do so primarily in the basis of facts. I will usually analyze in detail any information I have to hand and then make my decision, based on what is necessary to ensure the satisfactory completion of the task. I put a heavy emphasis on getting the job done in an efficient and effective way. As a leader, I take responsibility and expect others to respect and follow my leadership once I have committed myself. I can allocate work to people, assess their performance and be direct in my evaluation. Sometimes others may feel I can be critical, although when they do well I will usually arrange a way of showing recognition. Decision-making is important to me, it paves the way for action, rather than sit around for long time periods considering, theorizing and discussing, I prefer to weigh the pros and cons, make a decision, take action and if it does not work try again. In reaching decisions, I like to see some stability being established. I am usually clear-cut in my dealings with colleagues and both sides will know where to stand. Wherever possible, I move in straight lines towards my objectives. My major concern will be to get things done by mobilizing the talents of others. I try to reinforce people’s successes and give positive guidance when errors occur. I will enjoy working at the “sharp end” of the team where the action taking place. I need to build a team around me that enables me to concentrate on the things I am strong at and delegate the other key jobs.
