Implement conservation vision of The Nature Conservancy, Arizona Chapter by developing high-level strategy, empowering leadership and staff, trouble-shooting barriers, and communicating and coordinating to ensure results. Directly oversee the Chapter's Conservation Leadership Group and have overall responsibility for water, lands, stewardship, protection, and science with a total staff of 44 statewide and group operating budgets of about $6.5 million. Work with the State Director, Chapter Leadership and Board of Trustees to design and implement annual and multi-year land and water conservation strategies. Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Directed resource conservation programs with a dual focus on implementation and analysis. Provided leadership for existing programs and develop new revenue-generating products and services. Raised, tracked and managed an annual budget of over $1,600,000 and oversaw a staff of 25. Managed relationships with over 35 funders, including governmental organizations, foundations and for-profit companies. Served as member of senior management team and interacted closely with Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Managed water conservation projects throughout Colorado. Supervised full-time staff of 4 and seasonal staff of 20. Directed all aspects of water division, including communications, staffing, budgeting and fundraising. Created methods for analyzing and assessing program impact. In 2 years increased program income by 20% per year, expanded network of funders by over 30% and established the organization's credibility in analyzing conservation program impact.

Managed grants of up to $6 million involving water, energy and climate work both domestically and internationally. Lead strategic planning and implementation and traveled to project locations to advance programmatic work in each country. Built CWC's capacity by managing both the organization's long-term growth and day-to-day operations. Directly supervised a staff of 5 and helped manage team of 25 interns and research assistants.Spoke and wrote about international water and development issues before a range of audiences, from casual to academic.
