INNCOM, recently acquired by Honeywell, makes smart environmental controls for the hospitality industry. This includes smart digital thermostats, lighting controls, tabletop devices, etc., controlled by RF or IR and tied into room, floor, and property-wide networks. To give greater flexibility in stylizing and arranging the information in our product catalog (designed and developed by me in 2009), I moved the contents from MS Word to InDesign, The graphics group could then redesign the entire catalog with new artwork and newly written copy.I was also keenly interested in moving our documentation towards content authoring, so as to leverage our data seamlessly into print, Web, or other media. I also became more directly helpful to the Marketing department, writing and editing Web content and researching and writing case studies on particular property developments.
