Daniel is sophomore Menlo-Atherton High School. He is also a very accomplished piano player. Among his awards: The First Prize and Grand Prize at 2023 CAPMT Concerto Competition; Winner, 2023 Palo Alto Philharmonic Concerto Competition; 2021 Junior Division winner at Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition; First prize at 2020 CAPMT Concerto Competition.Among his performances: Royal Albert Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Robert Schumann Museum in Germany. Daniel played Mozart’s 12th Piano Concerto with the Moscow Youth Orchestra as a winner of the American Festival of Fine Arts Concerto Competition.Daniel passed the DipABRSM exam with distinguished at the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABSRM). Daniel has been passionate about supporting social causes, especially helping young children afflicted by health issues. At age 10, he played a charity solo recital featuring all eras of the classical music, during which he collected over $15,000 to support safe insulin delivery to T1D children around the globe from underprivileged backgrounds. In February 2023, he organized another charity solo recital, raising over $45,000 to support the Diabetes Youth Families Foundation.Daniel was chosen to be part of the 2023 UN ECOSOC Youth Forum.In 2023, Daniel was also appointed to become one of seven inaugural Youth Cultural Ambassadors for San Mateo County.
