Hello!My name is Daniel Thompson and I recently graduated from Grand Canyon University studying Software Development. I am excited to get into my first job in my career. My classes, my internship, as well as my time with Revature have prepared me greatly for full-stack web development and software development as a whole.I have learned how to use many frameworks in my time at GCU and my time at Revature including on the Java side of things: how to build a REST API in Springboot, connect it to and manipulate a MySQL and NoSQL database, and have a basic Bootstrap-based front-end make calls to the API. On the C# side of things I have learned through my internship at Aleyant how to work well in a .NET MVC environment, again making a REST APIs, connecting them to SQL and NoSQL databases, and then adding a basic front-end to the application to make calls to the API.GCU, my internship at Aleyant, and Revature have prepared me quite well for the front-end side of things. I have great familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and quite a few front-end frameworks including VueJs, Angular, and React. I have the most experience with Vue and React. Vue from my time with Aleyant and, more recently, React where Revature has greatly prepared me for making web applications via React.I have many goals as I move forward into the next stage of my life. First and foremost starting my career as a developer. I really am looking to be a full-stack web developer, but if I can't find a job in that field I am also very open to sticking to the backend side of things because I know that is my better skillset.
