I worked for 6 years as a financial advisor at a couple of firms, decided I wanted to try and do things my way so quit and started The Nimbus Project with my now business partner Kunaal Sologar.Over the past year we have been experimenting with how to phrase our mission statement, currently, it is -- Champion lifelong learning and build financial wellbeing at home and at work.- Have a workplace and culture we are all proud of. As a company, we have a long-term sustainable approach, sustainable having dual meaning:1 - our actual approach to advice is long-term, it should be fit for purpose for today and the future. Having a focus on improvements to financial wellbeing and learning over time. I wouldn't try to go from çouch potato to running a marathon in a week, true sustainable improvements happen via smaller improvements over time. 2 - A focus on social and environmental sustainability. Social meaning as an employer actual 40 hour works weeks, flexible hours for parents and being an enjoyable place to work and environmental meaning we have a net positive effect on our environment. Being environmentally neutral isn't enough enough anymore, as a society we need to make up for past sins and for those who still don't care. I specialise in property and lending advice, a large portion of the work I do is with first home buyers, but I also assist those buying investment property, upgrading or downgrading the family home, top-ups for renovations and helping people move baks (refinancing).My key goal is to build a company that helps improve the financial well-being and a company that I am proud of.
