In the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, the Rev. Deacon Daniel Tamm activates advocacy on the Bishop's Commission on Climate Change. Deacon Tamm serves the Green Caucus of The Episcopal Church, where his current focus is fossil fuel divestment. Daniel currently chairs Interfaith Solidarity Network, building relationships among faith communities in the San Fernando Valley and throughout L.A. He chairs the steering committee of Los Angeles Faith & Ecology Network to accelerate the City towards 100% clean renewable energy by 2035, and engages L.A. County's Faith Collaborative to End Homelessness to coordinate and strengthen partnerships with faith-based organizations.Daniel worked for the City of Los Angeles for the first five years of Mayor Eric Garcetti's administration, focussing on solutions for homelessness, jobs, and immigrants, then onto LA Sanitation & Environment, engaging communities in sustainability practices, environmental justice, and LA's Green New Deal.Daniel was elected to represents the 44th Assembly District on the Executive Board of the California Democratic Party, and is most active in the Environmental Caucus.Daniel has served political campaigns by building partnerships, fundraising, and mobilizing teams as Field Director, Campaign Manager and Political Director, on the federal, state and municipal levels.In the spring of 2007, Daniel met Sen. Barack Obama and joined the staff of Obama for America (OFA) as Regional Field Director in Southern California, helping to coordinate the successful nationwide OFA organizing model, also in Missouri during the general election.Daniel organized Common Good Campaigns, LLC to focus consulting and strategic organizing on economic, environmental and social justice issues and candidates. Daniel completed a 2nd unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), serving for nine months as Chaplain Intern at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the Spiritual Care Dept. He graduated from the Episcopal Theology School at Claremont in 2019. Daniel enjoyed creative fulfillment, acting, directing and producing - mainly in New York theatre. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Nicole. Their son, Charlie, lives among the creative community of Bushwick in Brooklyn, N.Y.Specialties: Advocacy.
