Reporting to the COO my focus is on the strategic planning, designing and guidance of the businesses end user IT operations. Managing internal people’s experience of email, mobile phone usage, collaboration tools, remote access etc, and maintaining the high standard of proactive support and the End User Computing experience.Key highlights in this role:I have been a key part in the successful planning and delivery of an office migration which included the full decommission and migration of all related technology infrastructure, the expansion of services in another office such as additional collaboration spaces with full VC capabilities, additional hot-desking workspaces and a full refresh of the wireless network to ensure seamless connectivity across the office. I have overseen the migration of internal support services from an offshore partner to a new onshore managed services provider and have taken part in round table events that included IT professionals from a variety of industries across Europe.

I was involved in defining and implementing an IT strategy that aligns with the current and long-term business goals, ensuring it met measurable outcomes in value, finance, quality, security, and compliance.My role also entailed providing support and protection through appropriate IT infrastructure, leading the IT team to effectively support the organisation’s objectives, delivering sustainable IT capabilities and innovative solutions, overseeing key business projects for timely and budget-friendly delivery, and developing IT solutions to enhance organisational efficiency and automate manual processes.

Reporting to the CTO and COO I am responsible for all aspects of technology for the organisation’s internal users, including devices, collaboration tools, software, support, security and compliance.I have been a key part in the successful integration of an offshore partner that provides service desk support (L1, L2 & L3), DevOps and application development. During the Covid-19 pandemic I oversaw the successful implementation of cloud telephony, migration of our file servers to Teams/SharePoint and the enablement of our business to continue working as normal as possible in a remote environment, including sourcing of the correct equipment for our end users. As we have returned to the office, I have managed the implementation of a standardised video conferencing solution across all sites to aid remote and office-based collaboration. I have also overseen our Cyber Essentials Plus certification 2 years running and the addition of new office locations.·Develop long-term strategies for the growth of technology systems and to meet future end user software/hardware/print requirements.·Develop strategies, plans, and policies that adhere to applicable security and data privacy practices and laws.·Create innovative solutions and act as escalation point for analysis and resolution of complex issues.·See technology projects from start to finish from submitting written, budgeted proposals to the Directors to present to the Board, planning, managing implementation, evaluation and analysis. ·Monitor and reporting of the company service requests and incidents, local server and network infrastructure and offsite back-up solution in line with company KPI’s and SLAs. Perform RCA’s and Retrospectives as and when required.·Drive the continuous improvement of technology infrastructure management such as managing service delivery, developing technical solutions and strategic partnerships.·Manage, mentor, support and develop the Technology Support Team.
