I hire all artistic and production staff, which includes negotiating and signing contracts and composing legally binding letters of agreement, paying staff in a timely manner, booking venues, organizing national tours and liaising with presenting companies across the country.My job includes promotion, publicity and marketing. I write copy for posters, handbills, newspaper ads and press releases. I conceive, plan and supervise promotional photo shoots, scouting and securing locations. I work closely with photographers and graphic designers from concept to completion. I create PSAs, exchange advertising with a wide network of other arts organizations, create and edit radio ads and arrange poster printing and distribution. I maintain a database of supporters and another database of funders. I compose and distribute newsletters using MailChimp and maintain a website using Wordpress. I have done over 50 radio, TV and web interviews all over Canada and the US.

Workshop LeaderFreelance Sep 2006 - PresentAs a Workshop Leader, I have facilitated over 30 community workshops in Theatre for Living, a style of issue-based theatre that engages a community and empowers them to tell their stories, gain insight and plan for a better future. Partners have ranged from elementary, middle school and high school students to university students to 40 adults in the City of Winnipeg's “Future of Crime Prevention Through Social Development” Conference, including the city's then-Police Chief. Through this work, I have gained confidence and extensive experience speaking to and leading groups. Partners have included the Winnipeg International Storytelling Festival, Wolseley Family Place, City of Winnipeg, Peaceful Village, Manitoba Theatre for Young People/Aboriginal Arts Program and others.

I co-ordinated Kidswim: a free swimming lesson program which is always full to capacity with local youth, most of whom are Newcomers to Canada. I also worked with FOSP, the City of Winnipeg's Aquatics department and a network of community organizations on the Collaborative Programming committee, in which community groups work with the city to conceive and plan programming at the pool.As FOSP's only employee, I was responsible for everything, from financial management and grant applications to scheduling board meetings, composing and sending out a draft agenda to planning community events, along with the board and other volunteers.
