As the Assistant Controller I serve as a key leader in LCSNW’s Accounting and Reporting department by ensuring the Agency prepares timely, accurate and relevant consolidated financial statements for LCSNW and Affiliates. Along with others, I help lead the audit work and manage assignments, help prepare form 990s and 1065 work papers for tax return preparation, supervise professional accounting staff, and ensure accounting is consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Uniform Guidance for receiving Federal funding. I am responsible for producing financial reports consistent with internal and external user requirements, and support the implementation of new accounting standards. In this role I will have the opportunity to be a key leader in the selection and replacement of the financial system. In addition, I collaborate with program leaders, finance directors, and other leaders across Lutheran Community Services Northwest and our Affiliate, Compass Housing Alliance.
