I am currently a second-year student at Missouri S&T, pursuing a degree in Computer Science. As a Latino student in STEM, I am highly motivated to promote Hispanic/Latino excellence and ultimately aim to continue doing so by becoming a professional in Software that can represent and help my community. As Internal Recruitment Chair for SHPE here at Missouri S&T, I am actively organizing events that will promote our presence on campus and give members opportunities to grow and foster relationships with each other so that SHPE can continue to grow as a whole.

  Participated in Flourish Initiative Prep II Internship: - Navigated 70-100 home loans per sessions through a software database (Encompass) - Prepared 75+ pre-qualification marketing packages per hour for veterans who prequalified for loans - Enhanced college and professional development through direct exposure to industry practices and mentorship from experience professionals - Delivered a presentation on professional, academic, wellness, and financial goals; selected as one of 5 out of 14 participants to present to the Flourish team and other VU employees - Shadowed a team of software engineers daily standup meetings to discuss progress, identify blockers, and outline next steps for ongoing projects - Observed the ticketing system used for internal troubleshooting, understanding the escalation process from IT to software development teams
