As the Subs in Schools Mentoring Program Leader I was responsible for connecting with schools participating in the Subs in Schools competition and organising for Saab Engineers to attend mentoring sessions with the students involved. I was responsible for managing a team of 12-25 Saab Mentors and facilitating session across 4-8 schools.

As a part of the Topcon team I was involved in software testing and development. I gained experience with QTest, Squish, JIRA, Python, C++, Qt, PHP, Perl and bash scripting.

Duck Flat Wooden Boats (DFWB) is a small boat building and restoration workshop located in Mt Barker, South Australian. Their specialty being the construction of 'one off' usually custom fit out boats. The most common materials being a modern blend of marine grade ply and epoxy fiberglass resin. Second to their the new builds DFWB filled the workshop with restoration and repair jobs that range from full refits of cabin furniture to new paint jobs. DFWB is also well known in the world of wooden boats for their two week boat building schools at which clients can build a small project in the workshop with the DFWB staff their for support and knowledge. The purpose of these school is to pass on some knowledge of wooden boat build while enjoying the craft.I started at Duck Flat Wooden Boats as a casual worker in March of 2011 and soon became an apprentice in July 2011. Over my four year apprenticeship i was exposed to many construction methods and technique. I was involved in finding solutions to complex structural issues and design request from customers.
