I am an experienced inner London science teacher who is able to teach 'Outstanding' lessons from Key Stage 3 to Key stage 5. I teach predominantly AS level Physics and A-Level Chemistry of the new linear A-Level route.I was promoted last year to Second in Charge and this Year with Head of Key Stage 5 responsibility (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). During the academic year 2016-2017 I was tasked with Head of KS4 responsibility to oversee and implement the new linear GCSE (9 - 1) science curriculum. In 2015 - 2016, as Head of Chemistry, I successfully implemented the new linear 2015 chemistry A-level specification, increasing the value added Alps at AS from 4 to 2 and increasing the proportion of students achieving A*/As at A-level. Prior to becoming Head of Chemistry, I was STEM coordinator and was responsible for overseeing extracurricular STEM throughout the school, ranging from clubs, trips and mini projects. Since then, I introduced the CREST awards system and have successfully mentored a range of projects that have been awarded Bronze, Silver and most recently Gold. In recognition of my valuable contribution to the CREST Awards at my school, I was awarded a 'Teacher Recognition' certificate from the British Science Association.I am passionate about teaching and have been awarded 'Beacon Teacher' status in my school. I have been involved in the training of teachers in the department (training and NQT year) and contribute to delivering CPD where I can.
